We are the 501st Legion
Within Swedish Garrison, our primary partners are Barncancerfonden (Children’s Cancer Fund) and Drottning Silvias Barnsjukhus (Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital).
What we do
We build costumes and props
We help support local charities
We bring joy to others

We attend all sorts of events from major conventions to small birthday parties and self-organised meet-ups and armour parties.
Our members do not get paid for their appearances. Instead we ask the event hosts to help us with our charity work. This can be through having a stand at larger events where the public can get their photo taken with us or a direct donation for smaller events. There is no set price but we will always put a child’s happiness before a higher fee.

Our Charities
We support a large number of different charities but our two main partners are:
Barncancerfonden
Barncancerfonden (Children’s Cancer Fund) who work with the fight against cancer in children. It also helps children and their families to get the care and support they need. Barncancerfonden is a non-profit association financed solely by donations and bequests.
Drottning Silvias Barnsjukhus
Drottning Silvias Barnsjukhus (Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital) is Sweden’s largest, most complete child and youth hospital. For many children treatment is all about waiting. The foundation’s task is to help the children to forget about their illness, at least for a while.
Join us!
The only requirements for joining Swedish Garrison is that you are at least 18 years old and own an approved Star Wars bad guy costume.
We highly recommend that you create an account on our forum so that you can ask questions about your costume. Also, check out the different Detachments where you will find all the expertise about all the costumes within the 501st Legion.
Supporters
Many of our members starts out as a supporter.
As a supporter you help out at our events. This is a great first step and lets you get to know the garrison, what we do and what costume might suit you best. You don’t need a costume, all you need is a smile and a fun attitude.
